Staff appreciation: Office of Information Technology

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we want to express our gratitude and highlight the staff groups in the College who keep things running smoothly. Much of the work our staff members do is behind the scenes and invisible to many of us. So, over the next few months, please take a few moments to review the featured staff list and description of their duties and send a note of appreciation.

This month, the spotlight is on the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

OIT provides the College with audio and video support services and equipment; training and support for the eLearning Commons (eLC) and other instructional technologies; and classroom/meeting room reservation requests. In addition, OIT promotes best practices for using technology in learning, research, and administrative programs.

In addition, the team provides support and services for all the College’s classroom technology and computer labs, digital signage, and servers. Faculty, staff, and students may check out laptops, digital cameras, iPads, projectors, audio recorders and microphones, chargers, and adapters to enhance instruction, research, or service activities.
