NSF Racial Equity in STEM Education proposals due Jan. 17

  • Proposal deadline: Tuesday, Jan. 17

This solicitation aligns with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Directorate for STEM Education’s long-standing investments in the development of a diverse and well-prepared public workforce. Racial inequities often create barriers to STEM knowledge generation, as well as access to and participation in all aspects of STEM education, research, and the workforce.

Through ongoing efforts to address these disparities, NSF seeks to support bold, groundbreaking, and potentially transformative projects that contribute to advancing racial equity in STEM education and workforce development through practice and/or fundamental or applied research.

Prospective principal investigators are encouraged to read the program solicitation for full details and instructions on preparing the proposal. Applications must send a one-page concept paper to the program in advance of submitting a proposal.

The Office of Research and Graduate Education pre-award team looks forward to hearing from faculty interested in pursuing this opportunity as soon as possible to begin work on the proposal.
