Register for Spring 2023 ITT Academy by Feb. 3.

  • Registration deadline: Friday, Feb. 3

This spring, the ITT Academy will launch the first of a two-part exploration of ways to incorporate virtual reality into instruction.

The first part of this experiential ITT Academy will focus on setup procedures, health and safety concerns, discovering and loading content, and the impact of individual virtual experiences. Participants will receive a Meta Oculus Quest 2 headset for the duration of the academy and one-on-one guided instruction to begin their own self-directed exploration of the metaverse. The second part of this academy, to be delivered in the fall, will focus on Avatar-based instruction, participation in mixed modality group meetings, participation in fully virtual classrooms, and presenting traditional content inside a virtual classroom.

Please contact Nic Holt, director of innovation in teaching and technology, with any inquiries about this unique opportunity to experience emergent technology and how it can be incorporated in your own teaching practices.

This academy is limited to 10 participants with priority given to faculty and programmatic diversity. Faculty budgeted for at least 50% instruction will also receive a stipend of $500.

To apply, simply send an email to Nic Holt with the following information:
