Support for students, staff, and faculty following weekend tragedy
Over the weekend, the UGA community suffered tragic loss as the result of a car accident that claimed the life of a current student and an alumna and resulted in injuries to two other individuals. Both of the deceased individuals and one of the injured individuals had ties to the College–either as current students or alumni.
UGA Student Care and Outreach and the College’s Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation will have trained professionals on hand at the Ramsey Student Center in Room 211 on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 10-10:20 a.m. and 11:10-11:30 a.m.
Please make students aware of these sessions.
The Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation will also be available for students, staff, and faculty for individual or small group sessions for the next few weeks. To make an appointment, please call 706-542-8508 and tell the receptionist that you wish to make an appointment regarding the recent deaths from the car accident.
