  • Date: Tuesday, March 21
  • Time: 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Location: Athens-Clarke County Library, Appleton Auditorium

The Mary Frances Early College of Education’s Department of Educational Theory and Practice (ETAP) is pleased to announce Xernona Thomas (A.B.J. ’91, M.S.W. ’92, Ed.D. ’17) as the invited speaker of ETAP’s 2nd annual Colloquium Series.

The ETAP Colloquium Series provides a space for invited guests and UGA/College-wide community members to have conversations about critical issues related to the education of children and youth in grades preK-8. Following Thomas’ lecture, “An Opportunity to Have an Opportunity,” and a Q&A with the audience, guests will be invited for a light, 30-minute reception. The lecture will be live-streamed from the College’s YouTube page for those who are unable to attend in-person.
