Media mention: Flint quoted in the Daily Texan

Maureen Flint. assistant professor in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy, was quoted in a Daily Texan column examining how universities respond to histories of race and colonialism on campus.

“When students feel a greater sense of belonging on campus, they’re more likely to succeed on campus and have better student outcomes,” Flint said. “Often the ways that we look at belonging is absent of place and history, but that matters.”
