USG mandatory cybersecurity awareness training due April 28

  • Deadline: Friday, April 28

The University System of Georgia (USG) requires all its employees, including student workers, to complete cybersecurity awareness training twice annually, in April and October. The updated course for April, “2023 Social Engineering Red Flags,” should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. This professionally developed training is conducted online through KnowBe4 and provides a comprehensive education on good cybersecurity practices.

To complete the mandatory April training, log into the KnowBe4 Portal with your UGA MyID and password. Once on the training homepage, you should see the UGA logo near the upper left portion of the training window. If you have not completed the training, a course named “2023 Social Engineering Red Flags” will be available to you.

To advance through the training, click the “Next” button at the conclusion of each slide. At the end of the training, you will be prompted to take a short quiz. After completing the quiz, you will receive your score. You will need to click the “Next” button to go to the “Congratulations” screen. There you will find the “Complete Training” button at the bottom center of the screen. You must click the “Complete Training” button to record your participation. Once your training is complete, you can download a certificate of achievement if desired.

Faculty, staff, and student employees who have questions about the training should contact the EITS Help Desk at 706-542-3106 or email helpdesk@uga.edu.
