Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month recognizes the unique history, cultures, influences, achievements, and contributions of individuals and groups of Asian and Pacific Islander descent living in the United States. In the month of May, our College aims to deepen our knowledge of the many different AAPI communities in the country and to support the faculty, staff, and students in our community.
This month serves as a great opportunity to get involved in discussing and championing issues surrounding Asian and Pacific Islander communities. We invite you to review the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’s working resource list, expanded with resources offered by the National Education Association, to learn more about the many different AAPI communities and how to support students, faculty, and staff who are a part of this community.
