Welcome new staff member: Christi Ward

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Christi Ward is joining professor and incoming department head Jamie Cooper’s Human Nutrition Lab as a research professional.

Christi has 14 years of medical nutrition therapy experience as a registered, licensed dietitian and certified nutrition support clinician. With a passion for prevention and interest in nutrition research fostered during graduate studies at Loma Linda University’s School of Public Health, she is excited to join the Human Nutrition Lab and support the compelling research happening here.

Christi has an undergraduate degree in biology from George Fox University. She is a Dawg fan through and through since meeting her husband, a UGA alumni. They moved from Portland, Oregon to the greater Athens area in December 2022 with their golden retriever Magnolia.
