College welcomes three new department heads

The Mary Frances Early College of Education welcomes three new department heads.

  • Jamie Cooper, professor of nutrition sciences in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, will serve as department head of the Department of Kinesiology effective August 1. She follows Janet Buckworth, who served as department head for nine years.
  • George McMahon, clinical associate professor of counselor education and supervision, will serve as department head of the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services effective August 1. McMahon follows John Dayton, who served as department head for two years.
  • Kathy Roulston, professor of qualitative research, began serving as department head of the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy effective January 1. She follows Karen Bryant, who was appointed director of the Gwinnett campus.
