OIT welcomes you to the 2023 fall semester

Welcome to the fall semester! We are thrilled to have you teaching in a classroom facility of the Mary Frances Early College of Education. As you prepare for your classes, we want to highlight some of the equipment available in each classroom and offer you a clear path to find support across the semester.

Each classroom in the College features a dual boot (Mac/Windows) computer for versatile access to software and platforms. You will also find a document camera to facilitate presentations and demonstrations that also acts as a Zoom-ready camera and microphone to seamlessly integrate remote participants and guest speakers. Additionally, many of our classrooms are equipped with Solstice Pods, enabling wireless screen sharing. With this innovative tool, you and your students can effortlessly share content from personal devices to any connected screen, fostering collaboration and dynamic engagement. You will also find conveniently located traditional dry erase boards and/or digital interactive boards that can be used for breakout groups or other active learning activities.

We encourage you to become acquainted with your assigned classroom before the first day of class. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the equipment and ensure a smooth start to your semester. Should you need any assistance, our Office of Information Technology (OIT) staff members are available to demonstrate the use of these new technologies and offer suggestions on how to best incorporate them into your teaching style.

Our flexible classrooms have been designed with effective lesson delivery and active learning in mind and are intended to provide your students with a rich and interactive learning experience.

If you need assistance or a deeper level of instruction, please reach out to us via your preferred method:
