MEN in Education Network

As a man in early childhood and elementary education, clinical associate professor Bob Capuozzo understands the challenges and opportunities presented to men that teach in preschool and elementary schools.

Teacher candidates from the elementary education program who identify as male were invited to dinner as a means to build community among the few men in the program. In addition to the teacher candidates, men who teach and work in the field were also included. The group enjoyed each other’s company and pizza. Matt Snow, assistant principal at Chase Street Elementary, provided insight and answered many questions that the teacher candidates posed.

The MEN in Education Network plans to hold monthly sessions. Please contact Bob Capuozzo for more information.
