Updates from the Communications Office

With the start of fall semester, the Communications Office is here to help you best represent the College! We are a dynamic team of content and marketing professionals responsible for all digital and print promotional materials (email promotions, webpages, brochures/fliers, etc.) that disseminate from the College. We offer a range of creative services as well as promotional tools and channels to aid faculty and staff in their mission of teaching, research, service, and outreach.

Our communications form has a new look! Do you need a UGA branded logo? A tablecloth for an event? Print or digital materials for a conference or recruiting event? Want to send a beautifully branded email or print invite? Most communications projects start with submitting a ticket.

We have also added an “approval process” feature to the form. If you work with an external marketing agency or directly with a UGA-licensed vendor on a promotional piece, use the form to get internal approval of your materials prior to sending to the Trademarks office.

  • Note: We’ve been fielding a lot of requests for logos. Per UGA policy, all internal units, departments, and programs/labs have a University-branded logo that they can use to represent themselves and the College. If you don’t see one listed on our internal resources website, you can request to have one created using the communications project form. Promotional graphics are different from a logo in that they are term-limited and typically correspond with an event. They can be used on T-shirts or other promotional items, but they do not take the place of a UGA-branded logo. You can learn more about this distinction on UGA’s brand resource page.

If you have a communications project in mind, please submit a communications project request ticket, which can be found on the College’s internal resources webpage under “Communication Needs.”

If you have any questions about starting a communications project, please contact Jen Williams.
