Human Subjects Office PACT: We're here to help!

With fall semester beginning, submission to the IRB may be in your future. We want to ensure that your experience with the IRB and Human Subjects Office at UGA is a positive one.

Are you new to the IRB process? Has it been some time since your last submission? Do you want to discuss some new project ideas and how to go about submitting them for review? We’re here to help! The Human Subjects Office is a group of dedicated professionals who provide UGA faculty, staff, and students support in meeting the highest ethical and safety standards when conducting research with human subjects.

We’d like to take this time to introduce ourselves: I, along with my colleagues Tammy Andros and Aisha Haggard, are part of the Protocol Assistance and Compliance Team (PACT) in the Human Subjects Office. We are here to assist with your IRB journey. Attached you will find a flyer which describes some of the services we provide and how to access those services, as well as some frequently asked questions which may help get the conversation started.

We hope you have a great fall semester! Please let us know if you have any questions—you can reach us by emailing IRB@uga.edu.

Warm regards,
Kimberly Fernandez
