UGA motor vehicle use policy annual reminder

The UGA motor vehicle use policy requires all UGA faculty, staff, and individuals in a structured volunteer program to complete the following annually to be qualified to drive a state-owned vehicle, a personally owned vehicle, or a rental vehicle on official university business:

• Complete the UGA motor vehicle use policy online training in the Professional Education Portal (PEP)
• Complete and submit the driver acknowledgement form
• Complete and submit a motor vehicle records check if driving three or more days in any given week during the year while on official state business

The UGA motor vehicle use policy applies to all UGA faculty, staff, and individuals in a structured volunteer program. The policy applies whether you are driving a personal vehicle, a government-issued vehicle (state or federal), or a rental vehicle while conducting university business. Students are only authorized to drive personal vehicles, government-issued vehicles (state or federal), or rental vehicles on official university business if they are also faculty, staff, or participating in a structured volunteer program and are in compliance with the policy requirements.
