Call for instructors: Torrance Center Summer Institute

The UGA Torrance Center is now accepting course proposals for the 2024 Torrance Center Summer Institute (TCSI)!

The TCSI is an annual, professional learning event tailored to participants from a variety of professional backgrounds in the education community, including in-service educators, instructional coaches, administrative leaders, and education researchers. Our 2024 program will take place the week of June 10.

We invite our talented Mary Frances Early College of Education graduate students and faculty to propose a course derived from any aspect of their expertise. This is a great opportunity to make connections and provide state-of-the-art instruction and guidance for optimal pedagogical practice. This is a paid position ($500/3 hour).

Please include the following in your course proposal:

  • Name of course
  • Instructor(s)
  • Session type:
    • Morning (9 a.m.-noon)
    • Afternoon (1-4 p.m.)
    • Both options work
  • Session days:
    • All or partial (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday)
  • Delivery type:
    • In-person
    • Via Zoom
    • Hybrid
    • No preference
  • Course description (100-150 words)
