Media mention: Achin quoted in The Red & Black
Laurie Achin, a lecturer in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education, was quoted in a recent article in The Red & Black about the Visual-Gesture Communication course.
The new course, taught by Achin, teaches communication through the use of gestures rather than spoken or signed communication.
“I hope for my students to learn and develop the skills and confidence to interact by understanding the study of gestures, facial expressions, body languages and pantomime,” Achin said.
