Luft, alumni write most-read article in journal
Sophia Jeong (Ph.D. ’18), Robert Idsardi (Ph.D. ’18), and Julie A. Luft, Athletic Association Professor of Science Education and Distinguished Research Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Education, set out to write an article meant to help graduate students and early career scholars.
The article is focused on literature reviews, theoretical frameworks, and conceptual frameworks. Since its publication in September 2022, the article has already been downloaded over 45,000 times, making it the most-read article in CBE-Life Science Education.

Congratulations to the College’s fall 2023 First Honor Graduates!
Three First Honor Graduates in the Mary Frances Early College of Education will be recognized at the University of Georgia’s fall 2023 Undergraduate Commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 15.
The College’s fall 2023 First Honor Graduates are:
- Lauren Christian (B.S.Ed. ’23), elementary education
- Annie Copeland (B.S.Ed. ’23), elementary education
- Anna Friesen (B.S.Ed. ’23), elementary education
For those who cannot attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed on the UGA Commencement homepage beginning at 9:55 a.m.
