Call for nominations: University Council, University Council standing committees, and Graduate Council

The Mary Frances Early College of Education is seeking nominations, including self-nominations, for eight open seats for University Council (UC), one seat on the Committee on Facilities, one seat on the University Promotion and Tenure Appeals Committee, and one seat on the Graduate Council.
The UC is comprised of faculty, staff, and student representatives and is charged with establishing policies and enacting rules and regulations as it deems appropriate for the interests and welfare of the University of Georgia and its academic community. Additionally, the UC acts in advisory capacity to the president and serves as an outlet through which the campus community can voice an opinion regarding University policies and initiatives.
Members of the UC serve a three-year term, with this year beginning Monday, July 1. UC meets six times during the academic year at 3:30 pm on Wednesdays.

- Members of this committee cannot serve on other promotion and tenure committees at the school, college, or university levels while serving on this committee
The Graduate Council performs a variety of administrative, programmatic, policy, and strategic roles for the Graduate School. The Council meets approximately monthly during the academic year.
