Early Career Faculty Research Award applications due Feb. 9

  • Submission deadline: Friday, Feb. 9

In our quest to support early career tenure-track assistant professors, the Office of Research and Graduate Education is pleased to announce this request for proposals (RFP) for the Early Career Faculty Research Grant Program for fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025).

Funding priorities:

  • This “seed money” research grant program aims to assist early career faculty in their endeavors to (1) increase their number of publications in high-quality peer-refereed journals, (2) increase research collaboration, and (3) develop a successful grant application in the future.
  • Priority will be given to proposals with a strong orientation toward data acquisition to secure future external funding.

Eligibility:

  • Mary Frances Early College of Education tenure-track faculty who began their faculty position on or before August 2022.
  • Only one proposal may be submitted by a faculty member per funding cycle.

Please view the RFP and rubric for complete details on preparing the application and merit scoring. Questions? Contact Grace Thornton Burger about the application process, for assistance in budget development, or about proposal review before submission.
