Instruction resources: Responding to campus tragedy
Good afternoon,
I know we are all still processing the very sad events from last week. Last Friday, we had nearly 300 faculty members join the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) session on responding to campus tragedy.
We are adding resources to facilitate an increased police personnel presence around buildings holding evening classes or exams this week, as well as main areas where we expect students will be studying and meeting, such as the Tate Student Center and the UGA Libraries. Discussions are ongoing about further security enhancements.
The following resources may be helpful during this time:
- Responding to campus tragedy materials developed by CTL in connection with their sessions last week
- Resources for Faculty, including resources for helping students
- SAGE for student concerns and expressing encouragement to students
- eLC Gradebook for posting grades in a timely manner
Thank you all for your leadership during this time.
Best regards,
Marisa Anne Pagnattaro
Vice president for instruction and senior vice provost for academic planning
