Kudos: LEAP students, faculty publish books and receive awards

Students and faculty in the College’s Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy recently published books and received awards for their publications:

  • Sumi Lee, a Ph.D. student in the learning, leadership, and organization development program, received the KAHRDA-Korea SIG Best Paper Award for her paper titled, “Sustainability Within the HRD Field: A Systematic Review,” at the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) Conference.
  • Assistant professor Henriette Lundgren was awarded the Korea-SI Sponsored TEAM-UP Grant at the AHRD Conference. Lundgren also received the 2023 Richard A. Swanson Research Excellence Award for her article, “How do HRD Professionals and Business Managers Interact in Organizing HRD Activities?”
  • Professor Laura Bierema and co-authors received the R. Wayne Pace HRD Book of the Year Award for “Human Resource Development: Critical Perspectives and Practices.”
  • Professor Sally Zepeda’s lead-authored book, “Leading School Culture Through Teacher Voice and Agency,” was translated into Korean.
  • Professor Aliki Nicolaides’ lead-authored book, “Reimagining Adult Education as Ecologies of Transformation: American Association for Adult and Continuing Education Book Series,” was recently published.
