Mary Frances Early College of Education members recognized during 2024 Honors Week
Every year, the University of Georgia celebrates the successes of its students, faculty, staff, and alumni in a series of events during Honors Week. These honors include teaching, research, and public service awards.
This year, UGA honored the following students and faculty in the College:
- Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorship: Melisa Cahnmann-Taylor, professor, Department of Language and Literacy Education
- Service-Learning Teaching Excellence Award: David Chiesa, clinical assistant professor, Department of Language and Literacy Education
- Outstanding Mentoring Award: Edward Delgado-Romero, associate dean for faculty and staff services; professor, Department of Counseling and Human Development Services
- Creative Research Medal: Logan Fiorella, associate professor, Department of Educational Psychology
- Engaged Scholarship: Ammy Sena, Ph.D. candidate in counseling psychology, Department of Counseling and Human Development Services
