Department head reappointments/appointments

The Mary Frances Early College of Education appreciates the service of three department heads whose appointments were renewed and one new department head:

  • Amy Reschly, professor of school psychology, will serve another term as department head of the Department of Educational Psychology for 2024-27.
  • Bethany Hamilton-Jones, clinical professor of special education, will serve an additional year as department head of the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education for 2024-25. The department will identify a leader for a three-year term in the fall.
  • Julie Kittleson, associate professor of science education, will serve an additional year as department head of the Department of Educational Theory and Practice for 2024-25.
  • Cheryl Fields-Smith, professor of elementary education, will serve as department head of the Department of Educational Theory and Practice for 2025-28.
