Staffing changes at the Curriculum Materials Library starting July 22

Kelsey Forester (M.Ed. ’22), who has served as the education and curriculum materials librarian since 2022, will be leaving UGA Libraries. Her last work day will be Friday, July 19. Kelsey will still be in the halls of Aderhold as she works full-time on her doctoral degree in educational psychology (applied cognition and development).

UGA Libraries will be supporting the UGA community in a new way with the creation of the Academic Engagement Department. This new department will function in a team-based model, so your research and instruction requests will be fulfilled by a team of librarians. For requesting both instruction and research help, please visit the Academic Engagement webpage.

The new model and staffing will be refined over the summer and fall, so your input (and patience) is always appreciated. If you have any questions, Chandler Christoffel, director of academic engagement, would be happy to connect. Additionally, purchase requests for materials should now be submitted via the purchase request form.

Jason Matherly will remain as the coordinator for the Curriculum Materials Library. He may be available to give tours of the CML for courses from time to time. You can contact Jason directly or email cml@uga.edu for these requests.
