The Holmes Scholars Program in the Mary Frances Early College of Education will be hosting its first annual spring retreat for scholars. The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, through which the Holmes Scholars Program was founded, is a 30-year initiative that supports students who identify as racially and ethnically diverse and are pursuing graduate degrees in education. This program for doctoral students provides mentorship, peer support, and professional development opportunities.
Eligibility requirements:
- A doctoral student in a department in the Mary Frances Early College of Education
- Program emphasis is teaching and/or teacher education
- Identifies as a person of color
- Has at least two years remaining in the program
