Call for nominations: 2025 Regents’ Teaching Excellence Awards
- Submission deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 11:59 p.m.
The University of Georgia Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is pleased to announce the call for and coordination of selections for UGA’s nominees to the University System of Georgia’s 2025 Regents’ Awards for Teaching Excellence. These awards are the highest honors for faculty at Georgia’s public colleges and universities.
There are six award opportunities this year:
- Felton Jenkins, Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty Awards
- Regents’ Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Awards
- Regents’ Teaching Excellence Awards for Online Teaching
- Regents’ Award for Excellence in High-Impact Practices and Experiential Learning
- Regents’ Teaching Excellence Awards for Department or Program
- Regents’ Momentum Award for Excellence in Advising and Student Success
One UGA candidate for each category will be selected for submission to USG. For more information about materials required for our internal nomination process, please view the Regents’ Teaching Awards info sheet.
UGA’s internal deadline for submission of preliminary materials is Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 11:59 p.m. Internal applicants will be notified by Thursday, Oct. 10 of their application status.

Created in 1996, the Regents’ Awards program recognizes the finest among the University System of Georgia’s full-time instructional faculty for their demonstrated educational excellence in teaching, online teaching, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Past award recipients have demonstrated a record of exceptional teaching and a strong commitment to impacting student learning, ultimately fostering the academic success of students.
