College mourns passing of Andy Horne

It is with great sadness that the College announces the passing of Arthur M. (Andy) Horne, dean emeritus and former Distinguished Research Professor in counseling psychology, on Monday, Aug. 26, following heart bypass surgery.

From 2008-2013, Horne served as dean of the College of Education where he led the improvement of faculty productivity in outreach and research before retiring. Horne’s research focused on troubled families and ways to prevent and deal with male bullying and aggressive behavior in schools.

Horne was an inspiring educator, a caring mentor, and a treasured colleague who will be greatly missed. For more information, please read his obituary.
