Please join us for our second USG professional learning session on fostering teacher efficacy for evidence-based practice with striving readers. We are pleased to host Jennifer Greene and Christine Reilly from Georgia Gwinnett College to lead this informative talk.

This presentation centers on the ways in which we strive to prepare elementary teacher candidates (TCs) with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to teach children who experience difficulty with reading and writing. Georgia Gwinnett College is a highly diverse, open access school; we view our students as future change agents. Survey and observational data collected over three years demonstrate that through assessment, data-based lesson planning, and embedded clinical work, our TCs develop efficacy regarding their ability to implement evidence-based practices in their future classrooms.
