Abraham, Zhai awarded Institute of Artificial Intelligence seed grant
Anna Abraham, E. Paul Torrance Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and director of the Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development, and Xiaoming Zhai, associate professor in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Education and director of the AI4STEM Education Center, were one of four research teams awarded an interdisciplinary seed grant ($25,000) from UGA’s Institute of Artificial Intelligence. Their project title is “Combining AI Tools with Biofeedback to Determine the Drivers of Interest and Curiosity during Science Learning.”
Roulston, colleagues receive AESA 2024 Critics’ Choice Book Award
Kathryn Roulston, professor and department head of the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy, received the American Educational Studies Association’s 2024 Critics’ Choice Book Award for her book, “Qualitative Research Design and Methods: An Introduction” (2024, Myers Education Press) with her colleagues Kathleen deMarrais, professor emerita in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy, and Janie Copple, an assistant professor at Georgia State University.
