Public notice of upcoming recertification of accreditation review by CAA/ASHA

The Mary Frances Early College of Education’s communication sciences and disorders (CMSD) program wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its CMSD/speech language pathology program by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 in Aderhold Hall Room 531. Individuals who wish to provide input about our program reaccreditation may do so in two ways:

  • Submitting written comments prior to the accreditation site visit in accordance with the procedures specified below, or
  • Attending and providing comments at a public meeting during the program’s scheduled site visit

All comments provided must:

  • Relate to a program’s compliance with the published Standards for Accreditation of Graduate Education Programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (Standards) in effect at the time comments are submitted, and
  • Identify the specific program seeking candidacy, initial accreditation, or reaccreditation with the CAA

Comments not meeting these requirements will not be considered, and the individual or group commenting will be so notified.
