Call for nominations: University Council standing committees and Graduate Council
- Nomination deadline: Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 5 p.m.
The Mary Frances Early College of Education is seeking nominations, including self-nominations, for one seat on the Information Technology Committee, one seat on the President’s Faculty Advisory Committee, two seats on the Program Review and Assessment Committee, and two seats on the Graduate Council.
The University Council (UC) is comprised of faculty, staff, and student representatives and is charged with establishing policies and enacting rules and regulations as it deems appropriate for the interests and welfare of the University of Georgia and its academic community. Additionally, the UC acts in an advisory capacity to the president and serves as an outlet through which the campus community can voice an opinion regarding University policies and initiatives.
- Information Technology Committee (one vacancy)
- Three-year term
- Any full-time faculty member is eligible
- Term begins July 1, 2025
- President’s Advisory Committee (one vacancy)
- Three-year term
- Members must hold the rank of associate professor or professor
- Term begins September 1, 2025
- Program Review and Assessment Committee (two vacancies)
- Two-year term
- Members must be of the two highest ranks in any given classification of faculty
- Term begins August 1, 2025
The Graduate Council performs a variety of administrative, programmatic, policy, and strategic roles for the Graduate School. The Council meets approximately monthly during the academic year.

- May not hold an administrative appointment at the department head level or higher
- Term begins July 1, 2025
