Detailed business justification required for AI subscription services

Accounts Payable and Procurement are requiring that detailed explanations for the instructional or research purposes of AI service subscriptions be included with any purchase, payment, or reimbursement requests for these plans. Please keep in mind that all services must have a legitimate business purpose, but because use of these services are growing and developing, UGA is seeking to ensure appropriate use when funded through UGA accounts.

The subscription must be attached to a UGA email address rather than personal (proof such as a screenshot is needed). When Accounts Payable or Procurement are unable to clearly determine a UGA business purpose, they will forward all requests to the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost for further review.
