Call for proposals: Torrance Center Summer Institute

Proposal deadline: Monday, March 3

The Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development is now accepting course proposals for our 2025 Torrance Center Summer Institute (TCSI)!

The TCSI is an annual professional learning event tailored to participants from a variety of professional backgrounds in the education community, including in-service educators, instructional coaches, administrative leaders, and education researchers. Our 2025 program will take place the week of June 9.

We invite our talented Mary Frances Early College of Education graduate students and faculty to propose a course deriving from any aspect of their expertise. This is a great opportunity to make connections and provide state-of-the-art instruction and guidance for optimal pedagogical practice.

Please include the following in your course proposal:

Session type (all 2025 sessions will be two days): Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday; morning (9 a.m.-noon) or afternoon (1-4 p.m.)
Delivery type: In-person (TBD) or via Zoom
Course description (100-150 words)
Information about additional summer teaching plans (if any)

This is a paid position ($1,000/6 hours).
