Media mentions: Salaga quoted in Daily Mail, Daily Express

Steve Salaga, an associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology, was quoted in the Daily Mail and the Daily Express about food prices at the 2025 Masters Tournament.

He said that concessions prices have been kept low to make the experience of attending the Masters more appealing to consumers.

“We have to remember, the total cost of event attendance includes travel and transaction costs, the cost of the ticket itself, as well as any parking, concessions, and souvenirs purchased,” Salaga said. “So one way to make the overall experience more appealing to the consumer is to keep the price of these [food and drink] products low.”
