Annual Governor’s Summit on Language and Literacy
- Date: Tuesday, July 8-Wednesday, July 9
- Time: 9 a.m. (Tuesday)-1 p.m. (Wednesday)
- Location: Georgia College & State University
Guess what? It’s officially time to invest in you too! Registration is now open for the free 2025 Governor’s Summit, sponsored by the Deal Center and hosted on the campus of Georgia College & State University. Learn cutting-edge literacy strategies, explore hands-on learning activities, and be the change through real-time research at this year’s summit, aptly themed “The Brain-Building Network: Embracing the Science of Learning.”
In this free, two-day conference, the Deal Center is bringing together Georgia’s leading researchers, policymakers, innovators, and you to showcase current research, practice, and policy related to early language and literacy development from birth through age eight. We’ve got a dynamic lineup of qualified speakers, a simulation of what it’s like to read with dyslexia, and free food! The entire daytime conference is free to attend. If you’d like to also take part in the Dinner with the Deal Center Fundraising Gala on the evening of July 8, those tickets can be purchased through your reservation.
If you have any questions, or want to become a sponsor, don’t hesitate to reach us at galiteracy@gcsu.edu. We can’t wait to see you there!
