2026-27 Fulbright Scholar Award program

The UGA Office of Global Engagement (OGE) is delighted to announce that the Institute of International Education (IIE), the organization that administers the U.S. Fulbright program, recently confirmed that the 2026-27 cycle of the Fulbright Scholar Award program is moving forward as planned. After a brief staff furlough, the following country-specific webinars and online sessions have been scheduled.

OGE has resumed conversations with the director of academic relations, Julie Taylor, to visit UGA and hold pre-fall sessions with interested faculty to broaden Fulbright engagement and internationalization on campus. Kike Ehigiator in OGE will be in touch to schedule those meetings.

Faculty can access and register for countries of interest. Contrary to the website information, most sessions are not being recorded. OGE therefore encourages faculty to participate live.
