Kudos: Hiers participates in Educator Summit on Global Competency

Anna Hiers, lead clinical placement coordinator and COST coordinator, participated in a workshop at the Educator Summit on Global Competency on Tuesday, May 19 in Laramie, Wyoming.

In the session, titled “Cultural Training as a Framework for Preparing Students to Live and Learn Abroad,” Hiers led participants in an exploration of the intersections of culture, study abroad experiences, approaches to cultural training, and students’ personal growth. This work was recognized and further disseminated at the annual meeting of the Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching (COST) held immediately following the summit.
