Kudos: Faculty, students, district K-12 partners present at BELMAS Annual Conference

Jami Berry, clinical associate professor, and Karen Bryant, clinical professor and director of the UGA Gwinnett campus, presented at the annual British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS) meeting in Brighton, England, on July 4. They were joined by doctoral students Tifferney Dodd, Nathan Gerrells, Shani Jackson, Tamra King, and Pam Pajerski, as well as district partners Cathy Hardin, chief human resource officer of Gwinnett County Public Schools; Chandra Walker, executive director of leadership development of Gwinnett County Public Schools; and Mitch Young, superintendent of Forsyth County Schools.

Their symposium focused on four papers that highlighted the globalization efforts of the University of Georgia’s Ed.D. in educational leadership program. These efforts are explicitly designed to meet the evolving needs of school and district leaders by emphasizing university-district partnerships and incorporating student voice.
