Call for proposals: Promoting PK-12 Teachers’ AI Competencies

The Journal of Research on Technology in Education (ISSN 1945-0818, IF 5.0) is currently soliciting manuscripts for a special issue titled “Promoting PK-12 Teachers’ AI Competencies: Practices and Challenges.”

The guest editors for this issue are Lehong Shi, assistant research scientist, Department of Workforce Education and Instructional Technology; Jie Lu, assistant professor, Department of Workforce Education and Instructional Technology; Yue Yin, University of Illinois Chicago; and Susan Stansberry, Oklahoma State University.

If you are interested in potentially publishing your work in this special issue, please submit an abstract of at maximum 1,000 words. The final submission deadline for the full manuscript is April 1, 2026. You may send your manuscript any time before the deadline, as papers will be published on an ongoing basis if accepted for publication following peer review. Submitted manuscripts should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
