Advance planning for spring 2026, summer 2026, and fall 2026 terms

USG Policy 2.8 Posting of Public Syllabi and CVs

  • Spring 2026: Course syllabi must be posted on January 5, 2026, one week before classes begin. CVs for all instructors including faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and part-time faculty must also be posted.
  • Summer 2026: Course syllabi should be posted on May 5, 2026 for all summer sessions. CVs for all instructors including faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and part-time faculty must also be posted.
  • Fall 2026 and moving forward: Syllabi information about all course sections should be available at the time of registration, which is in early April 2026 for fall 2026 registration.

Posting CVs

Effective in spring 2026, a public CV for all instructors including faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and part-time faculty teaching courses must be posted online. This public CV should include the following:

  • All institutions attended and degrees or credentials earned (please note that the standard UGA CV format for promotion does not include all degrees; it only includes the terminal degree whereas the CV that should be uploaded into the system requires all institutions attended)
  • Institutional directory information:
    • Office address
    • Office phone number
    • Institutional email
    • Faculty member’s institutional website, if applicable
  • Statement of teaching and research interests
  • Recent publications or scholarly output
  • Any additional institutional requirements

Public CVs should not include personal information about the instructor, such as home address or personal telephone number. UGA will use the existing system for uploading syllabi to upload this public curriculum CV. That feature in the syllabus system has not yet been enabled. The College will provide a template that instructors can use.
