Call for nominations: 2025-26 Morehead Honors College Distinguished Faculty Awards

Nomination deadline: Thursday, Oct. 30 at 5 p.m.

The Jere W. Morehead Honors College is pleased to announce a call for nominations for its Distinguished Faculty Awards for 2025-26. These awards recognize outstanding faculty who have demonstrated a notable commitment to high-quality instruction and creativity related to the teaching and mentoring of students in the Morehead Honors College.

The Morehead Honors College presents four faculty awards each year:

J. Hatten Howard III Award
Lothar Tresp Outstanding Honors Professor Award
Morehead/Bullock Outstanding Honors Faculty Award
Floyd C. Newton, Jr. Outstanding Honors Faculty Award

Awardees are selected by the Morehead Honors College Teaching Awards Committee. These awards are presented annually at the Honors College’s graduation banquet, which will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, during Honors Week.

Nominations for the Distinguished Faculty Awards may be submitted by any UGA faculty, student, or staff during the open call period. Self-nominations by eligible faculty are welcomed.

Nominations must be made via the form.
