Call for nominations: 2026 Engaged Scholar Award

The nominations deadline for the 2026 Engaged Scholar Award has been extended. Nominations are now due to the UGA Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach by 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7.

One Engaged Scholar will be selected. The awardee receives a $5,000 faculty development grant from the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach to sustain current engaged scholar endeavors or to develop new ones. The award will be presented at the Public Service and Outreach Annual Meeting, scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2026, during Honors Week at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel.

Permanent, full-time tenured associates or full professors are eligible for the award. Guidelines for the award can be found on the award webpage.
