Deadline extended: Spring 2026 adoptions

  • Extended deadline: Friday, Nov. 14

The UGA Bookstore has updated the login instructions for Follett Discover that were sent to you on September 22 to facilitate access to the course materials adoption process. The previous link went to a generic login page, but the new link below allows you to use your UGA MyID and password.

To adopt your course materials for the coming term, please use these instructions and links:

  • Faculty can log in to Follett Discover through UGA’s Single Sign-On Service
  • Faculty can also access Follett Discover through eLearning Commons (eLC) by clicking on the “Help” drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner and choosing “Follett Discover Login Portal,” which will take you to UGA’s Single Sign-On Service

Follett Discover makes it easy for you to search for and adopt nontraditional materials—such as YouTube videos, open education resources, massive open online course content, and school/lab/tech supplies—in addition to textbooks and other print materials. Its integration with UGA means that it knows what courses you’re teaching and gives you a personalized experience.

Adopting course materials through Follett Discover makes the UGA Bookstore a one-stop shop for your students to access all of their course materials and supplies. Because Follett Discover is integrated with Athena, students can see what they’ll need for their specific courses. Students can also use their 81- number at the UGA Bookstore to get a list of materials they’ll need.

Adopting by the deadline contributes to course material affordability and allows students to plan both time and funds to obtain materials before classes begin. The earlier you submit your adoptions, the more time the UGA Bookstore has to source used and rental inventory, which translates to savings for your students.

If you’re not using any materials for a course, the UGA Bookstore (and your students) would like to know that as well. In Follett Discover, you can select “No materials required,” and you’re done!

For more information about Follett Discover, including instructions for having a representative from your department (a concierge) adopt materials on your behalf, see the Auxiliary Services website.
