Funding opportunities for international research collaboration, faculty mobility

  • Application deadline: Friday, Nov. 14

The UGA Office of Global Engagement plays a vital role in fostering global academic collaboration by facilitating international faculty mobility, research collaborations, and the development of new partnerships and programs. In alignment with this mission, applications are now open for key initiatives designed to enhance international engagement and research collaboration among our faculty:

  • International Research Collaboration Grant (IRC Grant): The IRC Grant is open to all UGA tenured and tenure-track faculty and provides seed funds to facilitate the development of international research collaborations. Grants will be awarded to support preliminary international research, partnership development, and proposal preparation undertaken in pursuit of specific sources of external funding.
  • UGA-Korea Faculty Mobility Program: The Korea Mobility Call is open to all full-time faculty at the University of Georgia who are seeking to collaborate with colleagues at higher education institutions in the Republic of Korea. This program is centered around the bilateral exchange of faculty. It is intended to facilitate new, self-sustaining academic partnerships in research, teaching, or service with scholars abroad, with reciprocal faculty exchange and active engagement at the partner institution being the principal goal of the program.

Additional calls for international faculty mobility and targeted seed funding initiatives for global engagement with partner institutions will be forthcoming later this fall.
