Kudos: Sandmann recognized nationally for engaged scholarship work
Lorilee Sandmann, professor emerita in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy, received the Hiram E. Fitzgerald Distinguished Engaged Scholar Award from the Engagement Scholarship Consortium, an international organization that recognizes outstanding public service and community-engaged research.
The Distinguished Engaged Scholarship Award is a lifetime achievement award honoring practice and research contributions to community-engaged scholarship.
“Engaged scholarship isn’t just about strengthening the community or the institution. It’s about building genuine partnerships where expertise and knowledge flow both ways,” Sandmann said.
