Priority registration: Spring 2026 Faculty, Department Chair Success Programs

Faculty Success Program

Priority registration is now open for this 10-week, evidence-based, high-impact development experience.

The Mary Frances Early College of Education will support a cohort to join the Faculty Success Program for spring 2026 (Jan. 26-April 5). Tenure-track and tenured faculty who are budgeted for research time and “are looking for the perfect combination of empirically tested methods to improve research productivity through intense accountability, coaching and peer support, and to propel their work-life balance and personal growth to a whole new level” are eligible to participate in this intensive, semester-long program.

Participants will be expected to fully participate in the program as well as attend three one-hour sessions with the associate dean for faculty and staff services throughout the semester. It is our hope that program participants will bring back what they learn in the program to the College.

For more information about the program, please visit the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NFCDD) website. If you have any questions about the program or would like to talk to a former College participant of the program, please email Ed Delgado-Romero, associate dean for faculty and staff services.

Department Chair Success Program

This 10-week program (Jan. 26-April 5) is an evidence-based, high-impact development experience open to all current or soon-to-be department chairs.

Designed specifically for department chairs, helping them lead with clarity, confidence, and community, the Department Chair Success Program focuses on key skill areas that build upon each other. Weekly modules will be a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises. Participants can expect to meet weekly at the same time for a 90-minute Zoom call with their small group and expert coach. In addition to the weekly call, participants can expect to spend time reviewing readings and/or other materials related to the theme of the week.

Please email coefss@uga.edu to express interest no later than Wednesday, Oct. 8. For more information, visit the NCFDD Department Chair Success Program webpage.
