Join the Generative Learning and Complexity Lab (GLCL) for a Lunch and Learn event, “Mutual Learning in Liquid Modernity: Creating Spaces for Being Together with Things as They Are,” with Shakiyla Smith-Sengu.
We are living in fluid times—times that call for open hearts more than fixed strategies. Join Shakiyla Smith-Sengu for an intimate and reflective conversation on what it means to lead, learn, and be together when certainty is out of reach. Through story and shared reflection, Shakiyla will guide participants in exploring how to create spaces that welcome complexity and unknowing, honor both grief and joy, and make room for imagination, love, and the sacred. Together, we’ll consider new ways of being and becoming—individually and collectively—in a world that feels increasingly uncertain yet full of possibility.
Shakiyla Smith-Sengu is a scholar-practitioner and action researcher whose work explores how individuals and communities can cultivate the capacities needed to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
