Reminder: End-of-semester events in the classroom
Any event in which 25+ individuals will be in attendance and food and/or beverages will be served should submit a work request for the extra custodial expense. This applies to events during the week, not just weekend or after hours events. Work with your department/unit contact to submit a Facilities Management Division work order. If you will assume responsibility for the clean up then a work request is not required.
- At the end of the event you will be responsible for taking all trash to the outside dumpsters
- Large trash (pizza boxes, food delivery boxes, beverage containers, condiments) should not be left out or overnight in a classroom
- Communicate with your department or unit contact who will work with FMD to request large red trash cans and spray to wipe down tables and desks
- If the space requires additional custodial cleaning, the group holding the event will be responsible for the extra cost
