Spring semester digital accessibility drop-in workshops

To support faculty in preparing their eLC courses for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance by April 24, 2026, the Mary Frances Early College of Education will offer digital accessibility drop-in workshops throughout spring semester.

Digital accessibility liaisons (points of contact between the College and UGA’s Accessibility and Testing Office):

Digital accessibility drop-in workshop 

  • Date: January 9-April 17 (Fridays)
  • Time: 1-3 p.m.
  • Location: Aderhold Hall Room 232

Jeff will be available during these sessions to answer questions, provide training in the use of Ally for eLC and associated content remediation techniques and best practices. Faculty and graduate students who work with eLC content are encouraged to attend and ensure their courses meet accessibility standards ahead of the compliance deadline of April 24, 2026. Jeff will also be available to present information on WCAG 2.1 AA and Ally for eLC to groups of faculty and graduate students by appointment.

Chris Seymour will be working on bringing the college’s websites into compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA by the deadline.
